We all love our communities that we live in and every community should have there owned greenspace to be able to visit whenever they want. Sadly in today's modern world and the lack of social housing, more and more of our beautiful green spaces in Scotland are getting build on by councils and housing associations. But it is not all sad as many communities have banded today to fight against the loss of there local green spaces.

Through community activism, many of these spaces have been saved by the strength and determination of the community in which it has affected them.
Working in collaboration with each other gets results and if it was not for the love of our communities and the help from our volunteers a lot of these beautiful spaces would be lost.

These areas need to be preserved for all future generations, the benefits to our health and the environment alone are worth fighting for.
​
Maintaining theses beautiful Grensoaces and raising awareness of them can help to preserve them for future generations to enjoy for many many years to come.
